Bird Watching in Nepal

The main aim of this Bird Watching tour is to offer bird watching beside it provides safari tour, village tour, culture tour, adventure and hiking.

Nepal is known as the paradise for Bird watcher. Over then 800 species of birds find in Nepal which represent 10% of the world in total. Bird
watching is a special and exciting activity in Nepal.

The popular destination and sport for bird watching are around Kathmandu valley (Phulchoki, Godavari, Nagarjun, Bagmati River, Taudaha and Shivapuri Watershed and Wildlife Reserve where 500 species birds find), Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve, Chitwan National Park and Bardia National Park.

Birds watching sport around Kathmandu Valley
The surrounding hills with variety of ecology, ranking forest to rhododendron, oak and pine forests offer for living 500 species of birds within the Kathmandu valley.

The highest pick of the Valley Phulchoki, is situated 20 km south eat of Kathmandu where 265 species birds has been recorded to date. Botanical Garden inside Godavari where 100 species of birds has been recorded. The Shivapuri Watershed and Wildlife Reserve, is the next sport for bird watching which situated 11km to the North of Kathmandu. Other good destinations for bird watching are Nagerjun Forest, situated 5 km, Bagmati
River - flowing into the Valley from Shivapuri hill, Taudaha, a lake on the way to Dakshinkali.

Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve
After being a combination of grassland, deciduous forest, 280 species of birds, Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve has been represented one of the
best location for bird watcher. Which is located eastern part of Nepal in sub-Terai belt. This is a small (175 sq km) reserve in Nepal.

Chitwan National Park

This park is situated at the middle part of Nepal at Terai belt. Approximately five hour drove or 35 minute flight takes to visit the park, where 255 species of bird have been recorded.

Bardia National park

This is a next popular destination for bird watching. Bardia National Park is situated in the far West of Nepal. The park is covered by forest, river
and grass lands. Boating in Karnali River provides an opportunity to view variety of birds beside jungle walk

Trekking Regions

Trekking is also one of the best way of birds watching in Nepal. The Langtang region, Annapurna region and Everest region is the popular region

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing
Sightseeing in the medieval palaces, temples, Buddhist Stupas,

Day 03: Kathmandu-Patan-Bird Watching in Godavari Botanical Garden
Sight seeing at historical place of Patan. Drive to Godavari for bird
watching trip in Godavari Botanical Garden.
Day 04: Godavari-Phulchoki Hill-Kathmandu
After breakfast full, hike up the Phulchoki Hill with lunch pack for bird
watching. In the evening return to Kathmandu.
Day 05: Start bird wathing for whole day in Nagarjuna Forest and Shivapuri
Watershed and Wildlife Reserve. Return to hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 07: Drive from Kathmandu to Chitwan for 5hrs through the beautiful
landscapes. Panorama view of river. Evening jungle activities in
